Converts high-impedance instrument outputs into balanced low-impedance signals, or balanced low-impedance signals into unbalanced outputs. Converts unbalanced +1 OdB signals from DJ desks into balanced line-level signals, allowing both easier interfacing with consoles and longer cable runs. Allows setups with multiple keyboards connected to an instrument amplifier to be sent directly to a console by connecting the amplifier's speaker outputs to the console's input via DB-1, thus eliminating the need for a direct box for each keyboard. The 3-position input attenuation selector (OdB, -20dB, -40dB) makes it easy to achieve the right signal levels for the best match with the connected equipment.
